Who we are

SeattleMoversGuide.com ("we," "us") operates this website and the moving services it advertises. This policy covers the information we collect through this site and how we use it. Questions about it can be sent to hello@seattlemoversguide.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you fill out a quote request, we collect your name, phone number, email address, moving-from and moving-to neighborhoods (and ZIP codes if you provide them), home size, move date, any challenges you flag (stairs, parking, heavy items), and any additional details you type in.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they found us, which sets standard analytics cookies in your browser. When you submit a quote request, we also record which page you were on, what referred you to the site, and (if present) any campaign parameters in the URL — this helps us understand which guides and channels actually lead to real moving quotes, not just page views.

We do not collect payment information through this site — quotes are free, and any actual payment for a move happens directly with our crew, not through this website.

How we use it

• To respond to your quote request within 24 hours, as promised on the form.
• To send a short automated follow-up sequence (a confirmation, then emails on day 2, 5, and 10 with moving tips relevant to your request) — you can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in any of those emails.
• To improve this site — which guides are useful, which pages people bounce from, and so on, via aggregate analytics.
• To detect and block spam submissions (we use basic bot-detection signals on the form itself; we don't use this data for any other purpose).

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do use a small number of service providers to run this site and respond to you, each of whom only sees what they need to do their specific job:

• Resend — delivers the emails we send you (confirmation and follow-ups).
• Neon — hosts the database where your quote request is stored.
• Vercel — hosts this website.
• Google Analytics — provides aggregate, anonymized traffic analytics. Google's own privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

We may also disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of this business or the people who use it.

How long we keep it

We keep quote request records to maintain a history of past customers and follow up on moves that didn't book right away. If you'd like your information deleted, email hello@seattlemoversguide.com and we'll remove it from our systems, aside from records we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe: every follow-up email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Access or deletion: email us and we'll tell you what we have on file or delete it, generally within a few business days.
• Cookies: most browsers let you block or clear cookies in their settings. Blocking analytics cookies won't affect your ability to use this site or request a quote.

California residents: under the CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale — we don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front. Security

We use standard security practices — encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam and bot filtering on our forms, and HTML-escaping of user input — to protect the information you send us. No system is 100% secure, but we don't store any payment or financial information on this site, which limits what could realistically be exposed.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
